Our adopted charities for the Fall 2022 #TheEdCollabGathering will be RAICES and the Abolitionist Teaching Network
Because #TheEdCollabGathering is a day of free learning, we invite you to donate what you would have spent on coffee, lunch, or even registration for an amazing day like this—pay forward to support others.
RAICES was chosen by our Opening Keynote, Donalyn Miller.
About RAICES from their website:
“WE defend THE RIGHTS OF IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES, empower INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES, AND advocate FOR LIBERTY AND JUSTICE. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees. With legal services, social programs, bond assistance, and an advocacy team focused on changing the narrative around immigration in this country, RAICES is operating on the national frontlines of the fight for immigration rights.”
Abolitionist Teaching Network was chosen by our Closing Keynote, Dr. Sonja Cherry-Paul
About Abolitionist Teaching Network from their website:
“Abolitionist Teaching Network’s mission is to develop and support those in the struggle for educational liberation by utilizing the intellectual work and direct action of Abolitionists in many forms. Abolitionist Teaching Network is a 501c3 organization. Your support and contributions will enable us to create Abolitionist Teachers and programming for educational liberation. Your generous donations fund this mission.”
