Adopted Charity Spring 2018

Our adopted charity for the Spring 2018 #TheEdCollabGathering is No Kid Hungry: Share Our Strength

Chosen by our Opening Keynote Speakers, Dr. Nell Duke & Ellin Oliver Keene, for believing to their core that all U.S. children should have access to healthy food, no matter their circumstances.

Dr. Nell Duke & Ellin Oliver Keene say:

“No child should go hungry in America, but 1 in 6 kids will face hunger this year. Using proven, practical solutions, No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger today by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast, and are able to get the nutrition they need during the summertime. We are honored to contribute to this worthy organization. “

Because #TheEdCollabGathering is a day of free learning, we invite you to donate what you would have spent on coffee, lunch, or even registration for an amazing day like this—pay forward to support others.

About No Kid Hungry from their website:

No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. After 25 years of successfully investing in local nonprofits and helping find the best approaches to eradicating poverty and hunger, Share Our Strength launched No Kid Hungry in 2010. Though ending childhood hunger is the organization’s primary focus, Share Our Strength continues to invest in and develop other campaigns.

The Educator Collaborative is proud to adopt No Kid Hungry during our event and hope you will consider donating to this important cause.
