Christopher Lehman is the Founding Director of The Educator Collaborative. Read his full bio here or request him for consulting or a speaking engagement.  He is an international speaker, education consultant and New York Times best-selling author. His books include: Falling In Love With Close Reading with Kate RobertsEnergize Research Reading and Writing;Pathways to the Common Core with Lucy Calkins and Mary Ehrenworth; and A Quick Guide to Reviving Disengaged Writers.He is column editor for NCTE Voices from the Middle professional journal and his articles and interviews have appeared in many publications and popular blogs including Voices in the Middle, Reading Today, SmartBrief, EdWeek, Choice Literacy and Talks with Teachers.  In addition to consulting and writing, he serves on the Board of Directors for the National Center for Families Learning and the Education Work Group; is Chair of the NCTE Middle Level Section; member of the NCTE governing body, the Executive Committee, where he serves as Chair of the Strategic Planning Subcommittee; he is a Booksource Advocate; and served as a project advisor on a joint NCTE/National Center for Literacy Education national education collaboration initiative.

 

Amy Riley is a member of The Educator Collaborative social media intern network.  Amy is a second grade teacher in Stratham, NH. She was inspired by the amazing educators she grew up with to become a teacher herself and it is truly one of the greatest joys in her life to work with her amazing students and colleagues. She holds a M. Ed in Elementary Education from the University of New Hampshire and she is a current Social Media Advocate Intern for The Educator Collaborative. In her free time, Amy enjoys exploring children’s literature, writing, baking, creating, and all things giraffe.

Brittany Howell is a member of The Educator Collaborative social media intern network.  Brittany is a  Technology Resource Teacher and Student Technology Coach at St. Patrick Catholic School in Louisville, KY. She enjoys collaborating with teachers and students throughout all grades (K-8) and teaching the Technology Research course in the middle school. She loves helping teachers and students incorporate technology in authentic ways to enhance 21st century learning. Brittany has led sessions at several national conferences and is honored to have her interview published in Make Learn Succeed: Building A Culture of Creativity In Your School.  As a Social Media Intern with The Educator Collaborative, she has worked with a cohort of educators to develop the Digital Journey to Empathy project.

Jancey Clark is a member of The Educator Collaborative social media intern network.  Originally from Charlotte, NC, Jancey has been living overseas with her husband and 5 children for the past 8 years. After teaching fifth grade for many years, she is now the Elementary School Learning Coach at the American International School in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. What she loves most about this job is being able to learn with amazing teachers each and every day. When she is not at school, she can be found sharing her learning on Twitter (@jancey5) and on her blog (janceyclark.wordpress.com).
