Emily Meixner is is an associate professor of English Education at The College of New Jersey and the coordinator of the secondary English education program. Emily regularly teaches undergraduate courses on reading & writing pedagogy as well as graduate and undergraduate courses on children’s and young adult literature.  She is a CEL Emerging Leader Mentor and presents regularly on such topics as reading/writing workshop, reading strategies and close reading, and LGBTQ YA literature.  You can connect with Emily on Twitter @EsMteach.

Jennifer Shettel is an associate professor of reading and literacy in the Elementary and Early Childhood Department at Millersville University and the director of Millersville’s Summer Reading Institute.  She has over 15 years of experience as a classroom teacher & reading specialist and presents at national conferences on a wide range of literacy topics, including comprehension, engaging with nonfiction, working with struggling readers, and integrating technology into the literacy classroom.  You can connect with Jen on Twitter @readndr
