What Does This Cost and How Do I Register?
You don’t! The Educator Collaborative’s biannual K-12 Literacy Conference called, “The Gathering,” is FREE. No registration, you just click on a session page to watch live during the event or to view recordings later. It is our free gift to the education community.
Trouble Accessing Sessions:
First, note that (if all goes technologically correctly) all sessions will be archived. If you miss something, you will be able to come back and view again.
Hosting a Viewing Party with 2 or 200+ Edufriends:
We encourage you to view with friends! We have a few requirements, though, and some answers to common questions.
Can I Earn/Give PD Credits or Certificates for the Gathering?:
New York State Educators seeking CTLE Hours should contact us at Contact@TheEducatorCollaborative.com and use subject line “CTLE for Gathering” to inquire about a special project you can complete, in tandem with viewing sessions, to earn hours. There is a fee associated.
In all other instances, however, TheEdCollab does not provide credit or CEUs of any kind for attending Gathering sessions. This is because we wish to keep the event free, and so have no method of logging participation and do not have staffing available to handle these requests.
However, a school or district may wish to provide credit, if so, we have a few requirements and tips. Click below to view.
I’d Like to Present! (or) I’d Like to Join the Tech Team!
Hooray! Please click on the “Present with Us” link on our site’s main menu to access just when and how to do that!
I’d Like to Learn with TheEdCollab, Do You Provide Literacy Consulting?
Yes! The Gathering is our gift to the education community, but it is only a small fraction of what we do. Our main work is providing literacy consulting in-person and online. Here is how:
- Contact Us with requests for literacy consulting or speaking engagements (click here)
- Register for online learning, learn more here (click here)
Other Questions or Feedback?
We love to hear from you. Please note that on Gathering days we are all-hands-on-deck and generally unable to respond to specific questions in a timely manner. If you have questions that have not been answered in this FAQ or would like to share feedback with us, please write to us from our Contact Page.
