[su_row]Patience Bertana has spent the past 25 years in public education focused on supporting students and teachers.   She currently serves as the Instructional Technology Coordinator for West Northfield School District #31 in Glenview, Illinois.  Prior to her current role, Mrs. Bertana was an Instructional Coach with an emphasis on supporting engaging and student-centered classrooms in a suburban Chicago school district.  She started her career as a special education teacher in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms.  She has master’s degrees in reading & literacy from Benedictine University, instructional technology from Northern Illinois University, and educational administration from American College of Education. Patience is passionate about supporting teachers and has personal experience with burnout that led her to look to research and experiences that can improve the lives of educators.  Patience lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, son, and rescue pup.   [/su_row]
