Dr. Carla España is a member of The Educator Collaborative and Assistant Professor of Bilingual Education and Puerto Rican/Latinx and Latin American Studies. She is the co-author of En Comunidad: Lessons for Centering the Voices and Experiences of Bilingual Latinx Students with Dr. Luz Yadira Herrera. Dr. Tracey T. Flores, an award winning educator, is a member of The Educator Collaborative, assistant professor of Language and Literacy, and the founder of Somos Escritoras/We Are Writers, a creative space for Latina girls (grades 6-12). Dr. Luz Yadira Herrera is Assistant Professor of Education- Bilingual Education. She has also been a bilingual education teacher at the elementary level. She is the co-author of En Comunidad: Lessons for Centering the Voices and Experiences of Bilingual Latinx Students with Dr. Carla España.

LaMar Timmons-Long is a member of The Educator Collaborative, high school English Language Arts teacher, adjunct professor, member of the NCTE  LGBTQ Advisory Committee, and author of articles and posts for educators. Nawal Qarooni is an award winning journalist and educator. She has been a classroom teacher, curriculum developer, and literacy coach and now leads NQCLiteracy which provides consulting services to schools and districts. Additionally, Nawal serves on NCTE’s Committee Against Racism and Bias in the Teaching of English and contributes to a number of educator-focused blogs and publications.
