Abby is an ELA educator with 18 years experience working in secondary classrooms in Woburn, Massachusetts. Abby’s passion for literacy education was cultivated during her undergraduate and graduate studies at University of New Hampshire, where she earned both an MA in Secondary English Teaching and an MS in Literacy. She spent 15 years as a high school ELA teacher before transitioning into her current role as her district’s 6-12 ELA Curriculum Coordinator where a major focus has been training and supporting teachers in writer’s and reader’s workshop through modeling, coaching, and co-teaching. When she is not in classrooms, you can find her scrolling through her Goodreads feed, adding to her ever-growing “want to read” list or engaging someone in conversation about what they are currently reading.
